The role of the psychologist

As a psychologist in adult habilitation, you work both independently and together with a cross-professional habilitation team of about 8 people.

You will work with a variety of tasks in the form of:

• Treatment conversations
• Support conversations
• Investigations
• Assessment and diagnosis
• Supervision/consultation for residential staff, personal assistants, and relatives.
• The work also includes group activities and educational initiatives.

The work is mostly carried out in your own clinic, but variation is also offered through visits to other relevant locations for the patient and the case.

Adult habilitation meets individuals with intellectual disabilities, mobility impairments, progressive muscle diseases, autism, certain rare diagnoses, and severe brain injuries. Our psychologists have a general knowledge of the psychological and social consequences of disabilities and specific knowledge of how different disabilities can affect the individual's mental well-being, development/cognition, and daily life.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with an interest in the habilitation center's target groups. To thrive with us in adult habilitation, you should find it easy to meet and work with people in various situations. The individuals who come to our operations are all at different stages of life, and it is important to be able to start from their different conditions and consider the person's best interests.

A driver's license is desirable.

50% of the position involves IF investigations for adult individuals where there is a question of intellectual disability, and 50% involves team-based psychological work.
